Description

Littelfuse provides High Reliability Varistors designed to comply with demanding quality and reliability standards suitable for military or other high-specification applications. These varistors offer enhanced performance characteristics, with the inclusion of Littelfuse’s expertise ensuring application-specific solutions are delivered. Key industry standards met by these varistors include MIL-STD-19500 and MIL-STD-750, and they are known for being inherently more resistant to radiation than Silicon Diode suppressors, an advantage highlighted in Figure 1 of the datasheet.

ZA Series

The High-Reliability Varistors from Littelfuse are categorized into four types, including those qualified under the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSSC) Qualified Parts List (QPL) for MIL-R-83530—of which four items are available—and the Series TX Equivalents, with 29 items available. Further, custom types can be processed either to the customer’s specific requirements (designated as SCD) or standard military flow, providing flexibility and customization for different use-cases.
