Overview

This datasheet provides detailed technical specifications for the Microsemi High Reliability Power Rectifier series qualified per MIL-PRF-19500/260. The rectifiers feature a glass passivated die, glass to metal seal construction, and are capable of handling up to 25 amps surge rating with peak repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) ranging from 200 to 1000 volts.

Product Models Included

Devices: IN1124A, IN1126A, IN1128A, 1N3649, 1N3650
Levels: JAN, with “R” designated models representing reverse polarity versions: IN1124RA, IN1126RA, IN1128RA, 1N3649R, 1N3650R

Absolute Maximum Ratings

The datasheet specifies the absolute maximum ratings for the power rectifiers at a case temperature (Tc) of +25°C unless noted otherwise. These ratings include average forward current at Tc 150°C, peak surge forward current at 8.3ms half sinewave at Tc 150°C, and thermal resistance junction to case. Furthermore, the operating case temperature range is specified from 65°C to 150°C, and the storage temperature range from 65°C to 200°C. Packaging standard for these rectifiers is DO-20BAA (DO-4).

Electrical Characteristics

Electrical parameters are provided for an ambient temperature (TA) of +25°C, including forward voltage at 10A for each model and reverse current for various voltage ratings both at 25°C and at an elevated temperature of 150°C. Maximum forward voltage drop is capped at 2.2 volts, and reverse current ranges from microampere to milliampere levels depending on the conditions. Moreover, a note regarding pulse tests indicates a pulse width of 300 microseconds and a duty cycle of 2%.

Graphical Data

Page 2 of the datasheet presents graphical data illustrating the typical forward and reverse characteristics of the rectifiers. Figure 1 shows the reverse voltage versus reverse current at different temperatures, and Figure 2 depicts the instantaneous forward voltage against forward current again at various temperatures. This data assists users in understanding the rectifier performance in real-world applications.
