General Purpose Ceramic Capacitors (C Series)

The General Purpose Ceramic Capacitors (C Series) are compliant with RoHS and free of halogens. They offer a wide capacitance range from 0.1pF to 22μF and voltage range between 4V to 100V. These capacitors feature various terminations such as 100% matte tin, palladium-silver, gold, and lead options. A notable characteristic is their very low Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) in X7R/X5R variants, with typical values below 10 milliohms.

Part Number Structure

The part number for these series provides detailed specifications, indicating series size, temperature characteristic, rated voltage, and capacitance tolerance. The structure incorporates capacitance value expressed in picofarads, where the first two digits are significant followed by the number of zeroes. Capacitance tolerance codes range from ‘B’ for ±0.1pF to ‘Z’ for +80/-20%.

Termination and Packaging Options

Terminations include options like 100% matte tin over nickel, gold over nickel, and palladium-silver & gold for limited values and sizes. Packaging options feature embossed or paper tape on various reel sizes, with the standard thickness unless otherwise designated by identifying codes.
