FAGOR Glass Passivated Single-Phase Bridge Rectifiers
The FAGOR FB Series of glass passivated single-phase bridge rectifiers includes several models: FB10, FB15, FB25, FB35, and FB5O. They are designed to accommodate various voltage and current specifications, ranging from 50 V to 1000 V and 10 A to 50 A, depending on the model. These bridge rectifiers are recognized for their high dielectric strength, surge current capability, low thermal resistance, and compliance with UL standards.
Features
Highlighted features of these bridge rectifiers include UL recognition file number E320541, universal 3-way terminals for versatile mounting, RoHS and WEEE Directive compliance, and an impressive solder dip lasting 40 seconds at 260°C. Additionally, they boast a typical reverse current (IR) of less than 0.3uA.
Mechanical Data
Components are housed in cases that meet the UL 94V-0 flammability rating. Polarity is clearly marked, with positive leads identifiable by a beveled corner. Nickel-plated faston lugs and silver-plated wire leads are solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD22-B102. Wire leads are denoted with a suffix ‘L,’ while faston with ‘M’. The maximum mounting torque is specified as 20 inches-lbs.
Applications
The FB Series is versatile and used in a broad range of applications including ac-to-dc full wave rectification in SMPS, lighting ballasts, adapters, battery chargers, as well as in home appliances, office equipment, and telecommunication devices.
Electrical Characteristics
The datasheet provides the maximum ratings and electrical characteristics for the rectifiers at a standard temperature of 25°C. Features listed include peak recurrent reverse voltage (VRRM), maximum RMS voltage (VRMS), recommended input voltage (VR), recurrent peak forward current (IFRM), peak forward surge current (IFSM), and the ‘I2t’ value for fusing. The operational and storage temperature ranges are specified from -55 to +150°C.
Additional electrical characteristics include the maximum forward voltage drop per element at specified currents for each model and reverse current at VRRM. Typical thermal resistance from junction to case and isolation voltage from case to leads are also listed, ensuring users have comprehensive data for design and application purposes.
