Relay Overview

The SERIES X Relay is a non-latch 2 PDT, low-level to 5 amp relay qualified to MIL-PRF-6106. It features a polarized pin design with a maximum operating voltage of 28 Vdc and 115/200 Vac.

Contact Electromagnetic Characteristics

The relay has a contact rating of 5 amps at 28 Vdc and 10 amps at 115/200 Vac. It also features time current characteristics including resistive, inductive, and motor overload rupture characteristics.

Coil Characteristics

The relay has a number of coil options, including “N”, “R”, and “V” coils, which have back EMF suppression to 42 volts maximum. The coils have a maximum operating voltage of 28 Vdc and a maximum pickup voltage of 48 Vdc.

General Characteristics

The relay has a temperature range of 708C to +125°C and a minimum operating cycles (life) at rated load of 100,000 cycles. It also features dielectric strength ratings at sea level and at an altitude of 80,000 ft.

Mounting Styles

The relay is available in several mounting styles, including A, D, E, G, and J mounts.

Terminal Types

The relay features 2 terminal types, 1, 2, 4, and 7, with finishes available in body tin/LFAD, body tin/lead, and gold plated.

Application Notes

The datasheet includes application notes on derating of contacts for DC voltages above nominal rating, including a formula for calculating derated current ratings.
