Overview
The UC2854A/B and UC3854A/B are advanced high-power factor preregulators that provide all necessary functions for active power factor correction.
Key Features
These devices feature average current-mode control, which maintains stable, low-distortion sinusoidal line current without slope compensation. They also have a high-bandwidth (5 MHz) low-offset current amplifier, integrated current- and voltage-amplifier output clamps, and a multiplier with improvements in linearity and a 500 mV VAC offset.
Other features include a 7.5-V reference, fixed-frequency oscillator, PWM, voltage amplifier with soft-start, line voltage feedforward, VRMS squarer, input supply voltage clamp, and overcurrent comparator.
Package Options
The devices are available in 16-pin N (PDIP), DW (SOIC Wide), and CDIP packages, as well as a 20-pin Q (PLCC) package.
