current-regulative-diode-crd.pdf

Overview

The CRD is a diode that supplies constant current to an electric circuit, even when power supply voltage fluctuations or load impedance fluctuations occur.

The CRD is used for current stabilization and current limiting, and is available in two series: S Series and E Series.

Specifications

The datasheet provides specifications for various types of CRD diodes, including pinch-off current, limiting current, lead voltage, and more.

The diodes have a temperature coefficient measured between 25°C and 50°C, and have a maximum rating voltage ranging from 100V to 150V.

Applications

The CRD can be used in parallel to increase current handling capabilities, and can be connected with zener diodes to ensure constant current in high-voltage areas.

Compensative resistors can be used to correct current decrease when the applied voltage increases.
