Overview
The BNC connector series is a commonly used coaxial connection with a bayonet locking system, suitable for frequencies up to 4 GHz. The connectors are available with 50 or 75 Ohm impedance and are used with flexible cables having outer diameters from 1.8 to 10.8 mm.
Mechanical Characteristics
The connectors have a durability of 2,500 mating cycles and are made from materials such as CuBe, CuPb, and PTFE. The finish is CutNi2AuO.8.
Electrical Characteristics
The connectors have a contact resistance of <20 mOhm, insulation resistance of 1.5 kV, and a voltage proof of 50 V. The impedance is 50 or 75 Ohm, and the frequency range is up to 4 GHz.
Climatic Characteristics
The connectors operate in a temperature range of -40°C to 75°C (PE-LD) or -65°C to 185°C (PTFE).
