Overview
This datasheet describes the AMP NetConnect Category 5e cable, a 24 AWG UTP cable designed for high-performance networking applications.
Key Features
The cable consists of 4 pairs of solid copper conductors, insulated with FEP and jacketed with a polymer alloy. It meets or exceeds the requirements of TIA/EIA 568, latest issue, and is UL listed.
The cable is available in various lengths, packaged in reels or pull boxes, and is marked with a sequential footage number.
Electrical Requirements
The cable meets the electrical requirements of TIA/EIA 568, including attenuation, NEXT, PSNEXT, ELFEXT, PSELFEXT, delay, and impedance.
The insulation resistance is a minimum of 500 megohms per 1000 feet.
The conductor resistance is a maximum of 28.6 ohms per 1000 feet.
