The 3M Mini D Ribbon (MDR) Connectors are designed for reliable and repetitive plugging with a wiper-on-wiper contact. They feature a surface mount compatible PCT insulator material and a ground lock PCB retention interface latch design for connection stability.
The connectors are available in various contact quantities (14, 20, 26, 36, 40, 50, and 68) and have a current rating of 1A. They also have a high insulation resistance (>5 x 10^8Ω at 500 V) and can withstand a voltage of 500 VRMS for 1 minute.
Physical Characteristics
The connectors have a glass reinforced polyester (PCT) insulation material, copper alloy contacts, and a nickel-plated shroud and latch hook. The solder tail plating is gold flash over nickel.
Environmental and Process Ratings
The connectors have a temperature rating of -55°C to +105°C and a process rating of 260°C (profile per J-STD-020C).
