Military Latch/Ejector Header Overview

Physical Characteristics
The insulating material used in the header is a Glass Filled Polyester (PBT), with the option of a high-temperature variant using Glass Filled Polyester (PCT). Classified under the UL 94V-O flammability standard, this component comes in gray or beige color choices for the high-temp version. Each piece features the 3M logo, a part identification number, and an orientation triangle. The headers utilize copper alloy contact materials with various plating options. The underplate is made of nickel, while the plating on the wiping area is gold, and the solder tails are coated with a tin-lead alloy, with wrap tails having a gold flash finish.
Electrical and Environmental Specifications
From an electrical perspective, the header has a current rating of 1 A, insulation resistance greater than 1 x 10^9 Ω at 500 Vdc, and can withstand a voltage of 1000 Vrms at sea level, ensuring safe and reliable operation in electrical systems.
Environmentally, the header is robust, with a temperature rating from -55°C to +105°C, making it suitable for use in various climatic conditions. It is recognized under UL File No: E68080, indicative of its compliance with safety standards as set by Underwriters Laboratories.
