Series 3300 Pre-grounding Connectors Overview

Vernitren offers Series 3300 connectors that provide enhanced safety through the use of pre-grounding technology. These connectors are U.L. recognized and CSA certified, ensuring a safer connection by engaging an extra long grounding contact before any active contacts are mated. This design eliminates the need for manually cutting contacts for safety purposes, thus reducing installation time and costs for users.

Applications and Ratings

The 3300 series connectors are versatile and can be used with a variety of electrical equipment. They are fully interchangeable with the Series 300 type connectors and are suited for both panel and cable mounting. The connectors hold an electrical rating of 10 amps and 750 volts rms, with the actual current rating and voltage capacity being contingent upon the equipment they are used with, especially considering operating temperatures.

Typical applications for these connectors include, but are not limited to, office machines, communication equipment, security systems, machine controls, vending machines, medical equipment, amusement machines, test equipment, measurement instruments, data processing equipment, and educational devices.

Easy Mounting with C-clips

Series 3300 embraces simplified mounting using proprietary SCC C-clips that require no drilling, and no use of screws, bolts, or rivets. These C-clips are designed to be slid onto the connector, seating into a groove and gripping its body securely. The connectors accommodating this feature range from 3302 through 3312 (2 to 12 contacts). Customers must specify panel thickness when ordering these clips, and hand tools are available for convenient insertion of C-clips.

Contact Orientation and Polarization

To facilitate appropriate installment, a clear guide for contact orientation is provided. Polarization numbers for the sockets are detailed, with the standpoint being from the wiring side, and the corresponding plug numbering being the opposite. A robust polarizing/ground contact is featured in position 14 for connector models 3324, 3327, 3330, and in position 17 for model 3333.
