Use appropriate jack stands and ensure the car is stable.
Be careful when removing the caliper dampening spring as it can fly off.
Check the brake fluid level before compressing the piston to avoid spillage.
Tools Needed
Torque wrench, red threadlock, large C-clamp, 18mm socket, 10mm socket, 7mm hex socket, flat screwdriver, brake cleaner, and brake lube (such as Sylube).
Procedure Overview
Remove the caliper dampening spring and compress the piston before removing the caliper.
Remove the 2 rubber dust boots and loosen the 7mm hex pins to pull them out.
Finish compressing the piston and suspend the caliper safely with wire.
