Introduction
This workshop manual covers vehicles from 1995 model year onwards.
It is designed to assist skilled technicians in the efficient repair and maintenance of Land Rover vehicles.
Important Notes
Repairs to safety critical items such as steering, brakes, suspension or supplementary restraint system should be carried out by a Land Rover Dealer.
Only Land Rover parts should be used for replacement to avoid impairing safety features.
WARNINGS, CAUTIONS, and NOTES are given throughout the manual to ensure safe and proper procedures.
Fuel Handling Precautions
Fuel vapour is highly flammable and explosive, and must be handled with caution.
Fuel must not be extracted or drained from a vehicle while it is standing over a pit.
A fire extinguisher must be kept close at hand when handling fuel.
Other Precautions
Synthetic rubber components must be handled with care to avoid skin contact with corrosive Hydrofluoric acid.
Used engine oil contains potentially harmful contaminants and must be handled with protective clothing and skin protection.
