General Information

This workshop manual covers various models of Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars built from VIN #SCBZSOTO3HCX2OOO1 to #SCBZDOOAZKCH29290.

Cooling System

The sealed cooling system consists of a pressurized expansion bottle, radiator, and pump. A 50/50 mixture of approved coolant and water should be used, and the level should be checked regularly.

The system is pressurized, and the correct pressure is maintained by the expansion bottle pressure cap. The coolant pump is driven by twin ‘Vee’ belts and circulates coolant through the engine and radiator.

When the engine is cold, the thermostat is closed, and the coolant is recirculated to reduce the warm-up period. Once normal operating temperature is attained, the thermostat opens, and the coolant is directed to the radiator.
