Getting Started
Welcome to the global family of Volvo owners This Quick Guide provides a brief overview of the most common features and functions in your Volvo.
Remote Key
The remote key locks and unlocks the doors, fuel filler door, and tailgate, and arms and disarms the alarm.
Cold Start
Depress the brake pedal, turn the key/keyless drive start control to position III, and release it to start the engine.
Wipers and Rain Sensor
The wipers have single sweep, intermittent, and normal/high speeds, and the rain sensor can be turned on/off.
Lighting Panel
The lighting panel controls automatic headlights, high beam flash, parking lights, and display and instrument panel lighting.
Driver’s Door Control Panel
The control panel adjusts door mirrors, locks/unlocks doors, and controls windows.
Parking Brake
Apply the parking brake by pressing the brake pedal and then the parking brake pedal, and release by pressing the brake pedal and then pulling the handle.
Audio System
The audio system has radio, CD player, HD radio, and AUX/USB sockets, with features like autostore and sound settings.
Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)
The BLIS indicator lights may illuminate occasionally due to light reflected from a wet road surface or other conditions.
Refueling
Hang the fuel filler cap on the hook while refueling.
Electronic Climate Control (ECC)
The ECC has automatic and manual control modes, with features like temperature setting, air conditioning, and defroster.
Car Care
Hand washing is recommended for the first few months to avoid scratching the paint.
Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
EBA provides full brake effect in the event of sudden, hard braking, and the brake pedal will go down more than usual.
