Introduction

The Volvo C40 Recharge is a medium SUV built on the same platform as the XC40 Recharge and Polestar 2. It is available in two versions: front-wheel drive (FWD) with a 69 kWh battery and all-wheel drive (AWD) with a 78 kWh battery.

Charging

The C40 Recharge has a CCS2 socket, allowing it to charge via Type 2 AC chargers and CCS2 DC fast-chargers. Charging speeds vary depending on the capacity of the EVSE and the chosen battery size.

Specifications

The C40 Recharge has a seating capacity of 5, with boot volumes ranging from 413 to 1205 liters. It has a maximum power output of 175 kW for the RWD variant and 300 kW for the AWD variant.

Home Charging

For the shortest home charging time, an 11 kW three-phase AC EVSE is recommended. However, lower capacity EVSEs may be needed depending on the existing power supply and charging needs.
