This bulletin provides information on the potential cause of dTPMS sensor failure in Lotus Emira vehicles manufactured from the start of production to a specific 2024 model year VIN.

A production running change has been made to use a smaller quantity of gel-based lubricant when fitting the tire valve to the wheel rim, to reduce the risk of moisture and humidity entering the tire pressure monitoring sensor and causing corrosion and damage to the internal circuits.

Action Required:

If diagnosing a dTPMS fault on an Emira (prior to 2024 model year VIN shown above) and experiencing inaccurate dTPMS tire pressure readings or no readings displayed at all, follow the diagnostic flow chart on Technical Service Bulletin TSB-131-24009.

Additional Information:

dTPMS sensors are available to order as required from the Lotus Dealer Connect parts system, and can be replaced as necessary. Warranty claims may be submitted with a valid prior authorisation number for the fitment of a vehicle set (4) dTPMS sensors and for 1.2 hours labor.
