When experiencing a dead battery, you can jump start your vehicle using jumper cables and a second vehicle with a 12-volt battery. Make sure to follow the correct steps to avoid damaging your vehicle’s electrical system.
Important: Do not clamp onto engine ECU brackets or other electrical components. Use the recommended connection points or alternative ground points.
After the jump start, have your vehicle inspected at a Toyota dealer as soon as possible. If the vehicle still won’t start or warning lights illuminate, tow the vehicle to a dealership.
