Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert System

This system is designed to assist with everyday driving by informing the driver of vehicles that may not be visible in their line of sight.

It includes two systems: Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA).

Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)

Uses radar sensors to detect vehicles in the vehicle’s blind spot and illuminates a warning indicator on the sideview mirror.

Available when surrounding vehicles are traveling at speeds above 10 mph.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA)

Uses radar sensors to detect rear cross traffic approaching from either side of the vehicle when backing up.

Notifies the driver with an audio alert and a flashing indicator on the side mirrors.

Available when backing up at speeds up to 5 mph, and when an approaching vehicle is traveling at speeds between approximately 5 to 18 mph.

Can be enabled and disabled through the vehicle’s Multi-Information Display (MID) or a dedicated physical button on the dash.
