A Legacy of Innovation and Performance
Maserati’s rich history dates back to 1900, when Carlo Maserati designed and built his first single-cylinder engine and mounted it on a bicycle. This marked the beginning of the company’s journey towards creating luxurious grand touring vehicles.
Racing Heritage
In 1926, Alfieri Maserati drove the Maserati Tipo 26 to victory in the Targa Florio, and in 1939, Wilbur Shaw won the Indianapolis 500 at an average speed of over 185km/h. Maserati’s indomitable approach to racing continued, with the company becoming the only European manufacturer to win the Indy 500 twice.
The Birth of the GranTurismo
In 1947, Maserati created the A6 1500, a luxurious vehicle built in Modena with sensuous Pininfarina coachwork. The convertible sibling, the A6G Frua Spyder, followed in 1950. The stage was set for the GranTurismo of today.
A World of Possibilities
The new GranTurismo embodies the perfect blend of power and luxury, thrills and relaxation, and tradition and innovation. It’s a vehicle that promises an endless journey of progressive spirit and an exquisite driving experience.
