About the New Porsche 911 GT3
The new Porsche 911 GT3 is designed for performance, with a high-revving boxer engine that produces 502 hp and can reach 9,000 rpm. This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, both of which are designed for quick and precise shifting.
Agile Handling and Braking
The 911 GT3 features a newly developed double-wishbone front axle and a five-link rear axle, which provide improved camber stiffness and reduced lateral forces. This results in more agile handling and precise cornering. The car also features larger brakes with optimized cooling and lightweight alloy center-locking wheels.
Aerodynamics and Weight Reduction
The 911 GT3 has been designed to generate more downforce than its predecessor, with a functional rear diffusor and optimized airflow under the vehicle. This design also incorporates numerous lightweight materials, including carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), to reduce the car’s weight and improve its weight-to-power ratio.
