Condition

Some Model S vehicles were manufactured with front suspension lower fore links that do not meet Tesla’s internal specifications, which may cause noise and the risk for damage to front suspension components over time. This condition does not affect steering control or response.

Correction

Inspect the vehicle for symptoms related to the condition. If symptoms are present, replace the LH and RH Front Suspension Lower Fore Links with updated parts and perform a Front Suspension Torque Check.

Required Parts:

Part Number 1041575-00-B – FRONT FORE LINK SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY LEFT DUAL MOTOR and FRONT FORE LINK SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY RIGHT DUAL MOTOR.

Procedure:

Replace the LH and RH front suspension lower fore links, inspect and replace the stabilizer bar and mounting bolts if damaged, perform a Front Suspension Torque Check, and a Four Wheel Alignment Check and Adjustment.
