Technical Service Bulletin 87-18-10 AIC Compressor Replacement; GFF Required Regardless of Concern and Flush Requirement for 2009-2022 Volkswagen Models

Introduction

This Technical Service Bulletin provides instructions for replacing the air conditioning compressor in Volkswagen models from 2009 to 2022. The bulletin highlights the importance of performing an ODIS GFF cooling performance test plan and documenting the recovered refrigerant volume.

Procedure

Before replacing the A/C compressor, perform the ODIS AC Performance Test. The test is located in different locations and may be titled differently for different vehicle car lines.

The test result will indicate if repairs are needed. If the system is operating properly, no repairs are necessary.

Warranty Information

Claim the time units accumulated from the GFF function test. Time units not to exceed a maximum of 100 TU. All documentation is mandatory and should be submitted through the GFF paperless and WISE for reimbursement.
