Transmission Fault Traction Reduced Message Displayed
A ‘Transmission Fault-Traction Reduced’ message may be displayed in the Message Center and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1889-14 P0961-62 may be stored in the Rear Differential Control Module (RDCM).
Cause:
The Rear Differential Control Module (RDCM) diagnostic function being too sensitive, leading to the false detection of open circuits sticking valves in the Active On-Demand Coupling assembly.
Action:
Should customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below:
Tools Required: IDS with latest IDS-DVD and Calibration File; first available on DVD130.05 V.11l Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply
Warranty: NOTE: SRO 51.90.89.27 should only be claimed if DTC Po961-62 is present.
