Introduction
This technical bulletin addresses a vibration or shaking sensation coming from different areas of the vehicle while driving, which may be felt through the steering wheel and/or through the seats/vehicle body. This issue may occur during braking and is caused by excessive brake disc run-out leading to disc thickness variation.
Affected Vehicle Range
The affected vehicles include F-TYPE (X152) Model Year 2014 onwards, XF (X250) Model Year 2010-2015, XJ Range (X351) Model Year 2010 onwards, and XK Range (X150) Model Year 2010-2015.
Cause and Action
The cause of this issue may be due to hub-to-disc interface cleanliness, wheel mounting face paint or wheel damage, or Park Brake Drag (disc distortion due to thermal activity). The action required is to follow the Service Instruction below, which includes checking and renewing brake discs, checking and correcting wheel balance, and recalibrating the Electronic Park Brake system.
