This technical service bulletin describes the procedure to replace the sunroof wind deflector and sunroof mechanisms with revised parts in certain 2020-2022MY Palisade (LX2) vehicles equipped with a sunroof and produced before 5/4/2022.
Service Procedure:
The procedure includes steps to open the sunroof glass, remove the wind deflector screws, and remove the wind deflector arm; replacing the wind deflector arms with new ones, and reinstalling the wind deflector.
Sunroof Mechanism Parts Replacement:
The procedure also includes steps to move the sunroof glass into the tilt position, remove sunroof mechanism covers, and remove interior sunroof glass bolts; inspecting the sunroof mechanism and replacing damaged or broken parts.
Important Notes:
Assistance may be required to safely lift and remove the sunroof front glass, and only replace the side(s) that is damaged or broken.
