Safety Precautions
Safety glasses are recommended during installation, and failure to follow instructions may cause damage to the vehicle or accessory.
The trailer hitch should not be modified, and some components must be reinstalled after removal.
Technical Information
The maximum towing capacity and tongue load must not be exceeded, and the vehicle’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) should be considered.
A qualified Subaru technician is recommended for installation, but if done by the owner, it is essential to follow proper procedures and safety guidelines.
Tools Required
The following tools are needed for the installation: a 1/2″ drive torque wrench, 10 mm socket, 1/2″ drive ratchet, and other specialized tools.
