This special coverage adjustment addresses the issue of overheating fuel relays or motor terminals in certain Buick Lucerne and Cadillac DTS models.

The affected models include 2008-2011 Buick Lucerne and 2009-2011 Cadillac DTS.

Condition and Repair

The rear-seat bracket may contact the Rear Electrical Center (REC), causing damage to electrical components. This can lead to overheating, a melting odor, and potentially a no-start condition or stall.

Dealers are instructed to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear electrical center (REC) and trim the rear seat bracket (for Lucerne models only). Additional repairs to the fuel pump relay wiring may be required.

Warranty and Reimbursement

This special coverage is valid for 10 years or 120,000 miles from the original in-service date, regardless of ownership. Customers who have paid for repairs may be eligible for reimbursement of reasonable and customary expenses.
