The service bulletin ITB12-026d is for the 2010-2012 G37 Sedan, 2010-2012 G37 Coupe, 2010-2012 G37 Convertible, 2011-2012 M37 and M56, and 2011-2012 QX56 vehicles. It addresses a condition where the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) is on and a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P0106 is stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). The solution is to reprogram the ECM using the CONSULT-IIl plus (C-IIl plus) tool.
Important: Before proceeding with the reprogramming procedure, ensure that you have properly connected the CONSULT PC to the vehicle, and that all external Bluetooth devices are turned off.
Service Procedure
- Take the vehicle for a 10-minute drive to meet the Idle Air Volume Learn (IAVL) conditions.
- Reprogram the ECM using the CONSULT-IIl plus tool.
- After reprogramming, perform Throttle Valve Closed Position, Idle Air Volume Learn, Accelerator Closed Position, and DTC erase.
CAUTION:
Do not claim any Diagnostic Op Codes with this claim. Also, ensure that the vehicle electrical loads are turned off during reprogramming, and that the battery charger is not connected to the vehicle battery.
