Important Safety Information
The owner’s manual for certain 2000-2001 models of Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, and Jeep vehicles may be missing information required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 225, related to child restraint anchorage systems.
Affected Vehicles
The recall affects various models, including Dodge Neon, Chrysler Cirrus, Plymouth Breeze, and Jeep Wrangler, among others.
Correction
An addendum card is being sent to owners and dealers to insert into the owner’s manual, providing the necessary instructions for properly attaching child restraint system tether straps and identifying seat positions with tether anchorages.
Dealers are required to insert the addendum card into unsold vehicles in their inventory before retail delivery.
