Product Safety Recall

This recall involves various General Motors models due to a defect that relates to motor vehicle safety.

The defect may cause unintended ignition key rotation, affecting engine power, power steering, and power braking, increasing the risk of a crash.

Correction

Dealers are to install two 16mm key rings and an insert in the key slot or a cover over the key head on all ignition keys.

The repair procedure involves using a key insert or a two-piece key cover kit to modify the customer-provided keys.
