This is a manual for installing a suspension lift kit on a 2002-2008 Chevy Trailblazer or IGMC Envoy. The kit is designed to increase the ride height of the vehicle and improve its handling and appearance.
Important safety notes:
The manufacturer recommends that this installation be performed by a trained mechanic. Failure to follow proper installation procedures can result in serious injury or death. The vehicle’s electronic ride height sensor may need to be adjusted after installation.
Pre-Installation Requirements:
The vehicle should be placed on a flat surface and lifted by the frame using a jack or a two-post lift. The emergency brake should be engaged and the rear wheels should be blocked to prevent a rollout.
Installation Steps:
The installation process involves disconnecting various components, such as the ABS line and shock absorber, and removing the front and rear wheels. The ReadyLift coil spacer and strut extensions should be installed in the OEM location, and the strut tower should be reinstalled. All hardware should be tightened to the recommended torque specification.
Post-Installation Checks:
After installation, the vehicle should be test-driven to ensure that it is handling properly. The suspension should be checked for proper operation, and the brake system should be inspected for any signs of failure.
Re-torque all hardware after 500 miles.
