Front Air Spring Damper Hydraulic Fluid Leak

This technical bulletin addresses a condition where a ‘knock’ sound may be evident from one or both front air springs when traveling over speed bumps at low speed.

The cause of this condition is a leak from the hydraulic damper chamber of the air spring.

Service Instruction

To diagnose, remove the air spring and invert it for one minute to check for hydraulic fluid leaking from the air suspension pipe ‘VOSS’ connector.

If hydraulic fluid is leaking, replace the front left and right air springs.
