Safety Precautions
Your Prius has high-voltage DC and AC systems, and a 12-volt system. High voltage can cause personal injury, severe burns, electric shock, and even fatal injury. Follow caution labels and do not touch or attempt to remove high-voltage wiring and connectors.
In case of an accident, do not touch high-voltage wiring, connectors, or parts. If potassium hydroxide electrolyte gets on your skin or in your eyes, neutralize it immediately with a saturated boric acid solution and seek medical attention.
