Tool Requirements
A 7mm socket with extension, driver handle, accurate RPM meter (digital timing light), and voltmeter are required.
Important Notes
Warnings include ensuring the Blink’r selector switch is set to auto before starting the engine.
MAF Adjustment
CO adjustment is set with a 3mm allen screw, which turns a built-in 0-1000 ohm, 14-turn variable resistor.
Align MAF with the raised nub on the housing to facilitate tool insertion.
Setup and Adjustment
Adjust MAF to default setting and install as shown. Engine should be at normal operating temperature (oil temperature > 170°F).
Perform WOT check, rotate throttle linkage, and adjust idle speed to 700 ± 2 rpm.
Adjust MAF screw until the red LED stays on for 3-4 seconds, then off for 1/2 second.
