Technical Information
This manual provides instructions for replacing the rear spoiler control unit on Porsche Panamera (971) models from 2017 to 2020.
The previous rear spoiler control unit is no longer available, and the new unit from the 2021 model year must be used.
Required Parts and Materials
The following parts and materials are required for the replacement:
- Control unit for rear spoiler adjustment (PAA907483)
- Holder for rear spoiler control unit (974907298)
- Damping piece for control unit (971827715B)
- Rear lid wire harness (971998213H)
- Rear spoiler wire harness (971974224F)
Additionally, various tools and materials are required, including torque wrenches, stripping pliers, and heat shrink-fit hose.
Work Procedure
The work procedure involves removing the previous control unit, reworking the rear lid and rear spoiler wire harnesses, and installing the new control unit.
The manual provides detailed instructions for each step, including stripping insulation from electric lines, crimping, and shrinking/insulating.
