Porsche 9YA Cayenne 2019 Service Technical Information: Re-programming Air-conditioning Control Unit and Various Other Control Units (Workshop Campaign)

This service technical information document provides instructions for re-programming the air-conditioning control unit and various other control units on the Porsche 9YA Cayenne 2019 model.

Important Information

The vehicle voltage must be maintained between 13.5 volts and 14.5 volts during this programming. Failure to maintain this voltage could result in damaged control units. Damage caused by inadequate voltage during programming is not a warrantable defect.

Software Update

The software update contains improvements for the air-conditioning system, instrument cluster, and chassis control. The update includes a re-programming of the air-conditioning control unit and updates for other control units.

Action Required

Update software of the affected control units using the PIWIS Tester or SD card. Additionally, update the Onboard Owner’s Manual and replace it with an updated version.

Preparatory Work

Before starting control unit programming, connect a suitable battery charger set to a charging voltage of 14.8 V and a charging current of at least 90 A to the vehicle.
