Installation Tips
Before starting the installation, make sure to refer to the product manual and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Step-by-Step Instructions
The installation process involves several steps, including threading the FIP insert, taping the MIP end of the elbow, and connecting the auto fill valve.
Step 1: Tape one 1″ nipple from end to end.
Step 2: Thread half the length of the nipple into the auto fill spin weld from the inside of the skimmer.
Step 3: Tape the MIP end of the ” MIP x FIP 90″ Elbow.
Step 4: Thread the FIP end of the ” MIP x FIP 90″ Elbow onto the other half of the nipple that is sticking out of the auto fill spin weld on the inside of the skimmer.
Step 5: Remove the metal strainer from the FIP insert at the top of the valve.
Step 6: Tape the MIP end of the H” MIP x Insert Barb.
Step 7: Thread the taped MIP end of the Y” MIP x Insert Barb into the auto fill spin weld from the outside of the skimmer.
Step 8: Connect the feed line and check for leaks.
Note: If any leaks are detected, locate the fitting, shut the feed line off, and re-tape the leaky fitting.
