Welcome to the AEM Engine Management System (EMS) Instruction Manual
The AEM EMS is a stand-alone system that completely replaces the factory ECU and features unique Plug and Play Technology, making it easy to install and configure for your specific make and model of car.
The EMS is designed for total flexibility in engine tuning, but misuse or improper tuning can destroy your engine. It is the responsibility of the engine tuner to ultimately confirm if the calibration is safe for its intended use.
Important Notes
Read and understand these instructions before attempting to install this product. The supplied startup calibration may be a good starting point, but it will not replace the need to tune the EMS for your specific application.
Double-check that the pinout destinations for the circuits are accurate to the provided documentation, especially if the vehicle contains ‘swapped’ engine or if the wiring harness has been cut, spliced, soldered, tapped, or modified in any manner.
