About This Bulletin
This Technical Service Information Bulletin addresses a condition where the brake, ABS, and TRAC warning lights are on and a Check VSC message displays on certain 2013-2017 model year Toyota LS460 vehicles.
Repair Procedure
To address this condition, the repair procedure is as follows:
Step 1: Confirm the condition exists by checking the brake, ABS, and TRAC warning lights and for a Check VSC message.
Step 2: Use Techstream to check for and record any stored DTCs, specifically C1391, C1252, C1256, or C1253.
Step 3: Remove the brake actuator and brake booster pump assembly.
Step 4: Install the NEW brake actuator and brake booster pump assembly.
Step 5: Clear any stored DTCs using Techstream and test-drive the vehicle to confirm the condition is no longer present.
This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty, which is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
