This Quality Action Campaign bulletin concerns brake tubes on certain Nissan Murano models (MY2021) with VIN codes that may have been bent during manufacturing, causing contact with the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) heat exchanger tube.
Affected Vehicles:
A total of 346 vehicles are affected by this campaign, identified in Service Comm and National Service History Open Campaigns. These vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer.
What Dealers Should Do:
Inspect the brake tube and HVAC heat exchanger tube for contact. Verify vehicle eligibility using Service Comm or DBS National Service History Open Campaigns. For newly arriving inventory, check DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information. Do not deliver, sell, or trade the affected vehicles.
Repair Procedure:
The attached repair instructions provide step-by-step guidance for inspecting and remediating affected vehicles. Dealers may order parts needed for the repair via DBS, beginning August 31, 2021.
