The defect can cause the air bag system to malfunction, potentially increasing the risk of injury.

Recall 2: Power Steering Defect

The second recall affects certain model year 2004-2006 and 2008-2009 Chevrolet Malibu, 2004-2006 Malibu Maxx, 2009-2010 HHR (non-turbo), 2010 Cobalt, 2008-2009 Saturn Aura, and 2004-2007 Ion and 2005-2009 Pontiac G6 vehicles. The defect can cause a sudden loss of electric power steering (EPS) assist, potentially increasing the risk of a crash.

Recall 3: Airbag and Seat Belt Defect

The third recall affects certain model year 2009-2014 Chevrolet Express vans with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds and less and equipped with front passenger air bags. The defect can cause the air bag to malfunction in the event of a frontal impact below the air bag deployment threshold, potentially increasing the risk of injury to an unbelted front passenger.
