This document outlines the steps for upgrading a non-motion cabinet running any previous version of Need for SpeedTM to Need for SpeedTM Carbon. The Upgrade Kit includes software, game dongle, and artwork.
Before upgrading, it is recommended to test and clean the cabinet to ensure optimal operation. This includes checking the controls, steering wheel, and graphics display. The user will need to perform some repairs and adjustments to ensure the cabinet is in good working condition.
The software installation process involves using the System Recovery Disk, which will erase all game settings and audits. The user should write down any important settings before proceeding. The total software installation time is typically 30-45 minutes.
The user will also need to unregister the cabinet, if it is currently registered, and install the new game dongle. The old dongle should be returned to GLOBAL VR for recycling.
