Getting Started with Apple CarPlay
To use Apple CarPlay, you’ll need an iPhone 5 or above, an Apple Lightning to USB cable, and Siri enabled.
Connect your iPhone to the USB port with a smartphone icon, and MZD CONNECT will detect your iPhone.
Accessing Apple CarPlay
Launch Apple CarPlay by pressing and holding the Home button on the Commander control or by tilting the Commander knob forward to highlight the Apple CarPlay icon.
Apple CarPlay features a user interface similar to your iPhone’s home screen, with intuitive access to phone, music, maps, messages, and more.
Using the Commander Control and Siri
Use the multi-function Commander control or Siri voice commands to interact with Apple CarPlay’s features and functions.
Press and hold the Home button to toggle between Apple CarPlay and MZD CONNECT screens, or use Siri to access many of your iPhone’s functions while driving.
