History
Maserati’s history dates back to 1900 when Carlo Maserati designed and built his first single-cylinder engine and won a race. The company’s indomitable approach led to luxurious grand touring, with notable wins in the Targa Florio and Indianapolis 500.
The stage for the GranTurismo was set with the creation of the A6 1500 in 1947 and the A6G Frua Spyder in 1950, featuring sensuous Pininfarina coachwork.
