Introduction to the Maserati Ghibli

The Maserati Ghibli is a true thoroughbred GT, powered by a 4.7 liter engine developing 315 hp.

It was originally devised as a two-seater, but became a 2+2 for production.

Changes and Features

The Ghibli underwent many changes during its production from 1967 to 1973, due to factory improvements and new safety and emissions regulations in the USA.

These changes resulted in variations in features and options, making it challenging to find a car with all the desirable features.

The SS model was primarily a marketing tool, distinguished by its 4.9 liter engine, but with no other differences in brakes, suspension, body construction, steering, and interior.
