Important notice from Maserati to perform a Rapid Update on certain Maserati GranTurismo GranCabrio Folgore (BEV) MY24 models to replace front axle shaft screws due to potential oil leaks.
Scope of Work:
Rapid Update 728 involves replacing the front axle shaft screws, including the retaining plate, on a limited batch of vehicles.
Procedure:
Place the car on a lift, remove the right front wheel, and follow the instructions in the workshop manual to detach the right front wheel rim.
Check the area under the head of the screws, external diameter of the joint, and ends of the screws beyond the flange for any signs of grease or oil.
Replace all the screws and plates following the procedure given in the workshop manual.
Important Notes:
If oil contamination is found from the joint, a BOL report must be opened to obtain additional information on the type of intervention to be carried out.
Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit, regardless of the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati policies.
