Introduction
This manual provides guidelines for dismantling End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) equipped with M Hybrid Battery.
Handling M Hybrid Battery
The battery is large-capacity storage battery that stores energy and can be used when needed. It is installed under the floor outside the cabin in front of the vehicle.
Warning: Pressing and shredding the vehicle with M Hybrid Battery attached can generate heat, fire, smoke, and rupture from the battery.
Handling precautions include avoiding deformation, leaks, and heat generation, and taking first aid measures if electrolyte contacts skin, eyes, or is inhaled.
Prohibited articles include metal products that may cause short circuits, and accessories that may cause sparks or fires.
Do not remove the battery in a way that would damage it, such as with heavy machinery, and do not charge/discharge the lithium-ion battery using an external power supply.
