This manual provides guidelines for dismantlers on how to safely remove and handle M Hybrid Batteries from End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) manufactured by Mazda Motor Corporation.
Important Safety Precautions
When handling M Hybrid Batteries, it is essential to follow proper procedures to avoid accidents, such as electric shock, fire, and electrolyte leakage.
Prohibited actions: Do not remove the battery with a nibbler or heavy machinery, charge/discharge it using an external power supply, disassemble it, or leave it discarded.
Recommended procedures: Always disconnect the lead battery before removing the M Hybrid Battery, and insulate the terminal with insulation tape.
Mazda is not liable for any accidents or damages caused by improper handling or modification of M Hybrid Batteries.
