Introduction

AIM has developed a system to connect the Lotus ECU to their hi-tech data loggers, allowing users to easily monitor and record various parameters such as RPM, engine load, throttle position, air and water temperatures, and more. The system is user-friendly and includes free Race Studio 2 software to configure the system and analyze recorded data on a PC.

Car Models

The Lotus Clusters 08-09 protocol is supported on the following car models: Elise S, Elise R, Elise SC, Exige S, and Exige 260 Cup, all with model years 2008 and 2009.

The system connects to the ECU through the OBDII plug or the stock dashboard, and provides CAN communication protocol to transmit data to the data logger.

Communication Protocols

The system uses the CAN communication protocol to communicate with the ECU and transmit data to the data logger, including parameters such as speed, RPM, fuel level, temperature, and more.
